What is Renewable Energy?

Fossil fuels are the main sources of energy presently used, but there is a fear that they will get exhausted by the next century. Hence other systems based on non-conventional and renewable sources are being attempted and succeeded by many countries. They can come from solar, wind, biomass or other natural sources. These technologies are variedly termed as alternate or appropriate technologies, but the term renewable energy has gained global acceptance.
